Hi friends! Thank you so much for your continued support of Watauga County Habitat for Humanity. It has been some time since our last update, and we have some exciting updates to bring you!
Potter Home Dedication - Success!
On April 23rd, we had the distinct pleasure of dedicating our 31st home to Sheila Potter. Our dedication took place during a beautiful spring morning - all thanks to our volunteers and donors who contributed so much to this home. Click the button below to see the video from this awesome day!
Our five Big Kahuna teams worked hard to raise money from April through early June in 2022. Including the sponsorships and our hard-working teams, the Big Kahuna Fundraiser raised $28,050! See below for our final standings.
New Staff Members
We have had the pleasure of welcoming three new full-time staff members in 2022. Meet them below!
Sarah Grady, Construction Manager
Sarah Grady is an Appalachian State University graduate, with a Masters Degree in Building Science. She began her construction career in 2009 working with ArmeriCorp. Sarah has worked with Watauga County Habitat for many years, and we are excited to bring her on as a full time staff member!
Chloe Parker, ReStore Manager
Chloe Parker is a small town girl from Ashe County, NC. She recently managed Ashe County Habitat for Humanity ReSale. In her free time, Chloe is a free spirited entrepreneur who enjoys dogs, being outside, and being with her family. We are excited to have Chloe on the team with her intricate knowledge of social media, fashion, and design!
Nathan Godwin, Director of Development
Nathan Godwin is an Appalachian State University graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. Nathan has first hand experience with event coordination, advertising, and marketing for Watauga County businesses. Most importantly, thank you to all of our supporters. However you contribute to our mission, whether you are a donor, volunteer, or just a big fan...thank you. Our mission depends totally on the support from our community, we couldn't do it without you!
